  • Up to 20 kW continuous
  • Six MPPT, 26 kW PV input
  • Parallels to 100 kW+

Operating mode

Off-grid or Hybrid. You pick the wiring story.

Every Orbit ships in one of two electrical configurations, selected at order. The chassis and the OLED face are the same — the difference is whether Orbit is also tethered to the utility grid, and what happens when that tether drops.

Mode

Off-grid

Solar + SafeCell only. No utility tether.

For homes and sites with no grid connection — or anyone who simply wants to be independent of the utility entirely. Orbit runs the property directly from solar during the day and SafeCell at night, with the OLED face showing exactly how much runway you have left.

  • No grid connection required
  • Solar + SafeCell only
  • Built-in load prioritisation when reserves are low
Mode

Hybrid

Grid-tied. Solar, battery, utility, all in one box.

Connects to the utility grid in parallel with solar and SafeCell. Orbit decides moment-to-moment which source feeds the home — and, where regulations allow, sells surplus back to the grid. When the grid drops, the switchover to battery is fast enough that the lights don't blink.

  • Grid-tied with seamless backup
  • Sells surplus where regulations permit
  • Tariff-aware charging via Lucid OS

One chassis. Two ways to run a property.

Decide at order. Re-wire never.

Pick your environment

IP20 or IP66 — same Orbit, dressed for the wall.

Every Orbit SKU ships in one of two environmental ratings, specified at order time. The internals and the OLED face are identical. The difference lives in the chassis — gaskets, connector seals, and the depth of the cooling louvers.

Not sure which to pick? IP20 is the call for indoor utility rooms and conditioned plant rooms. IP66 is what you want for outdoor walls, carport mounts, agricultural sites, and coastal installations where salt spray is part of the weather report. Our installers confirm at survey.

The full setup

Orbit + SafeCell. The whole energy system on one wall.

Orbit is the brain. SafeCell is the reservoir. Together they are the LYD energy core — solar flows in, the home draws out, and every joule passing between them is logged and balanced by Lucid OS. Designed to live side-by-side as a coordinated pair.

Step 01

Solar in

Up to six MPPT inputs depending on the SKU. Orbit pulls every available watt off the array, prioritising the home before the battery.

Step 02

Orbit decides

Lucid OS reads tariff curves, load forecasts, and weather. It charges SafeCell when energy is cheap and discharges when it isn't — automatically.

Step 03

SafeCell stores

A 5 kWh wall-mount or a 45 kWh stack — your call. SafeCell takes whatever Orbit sends and gives it back the moment the home asks.

Lucid OS

Every Orbit runs the same brain.

Orbit is the hardware. Lucid OS is what makes it think. From the smallest 1.5 kW unit in a studio flat to the 20 kW commercial Orbit Nine — they all run the same operating system. The intelligence scales with the SKU, not the silicon.

  • Live energy telemetry

The circular OLED face shows real-time generation, draw, battery state, and grid status. The numbers tick because the inverter is actually doing the work.

  • Phone in your pocket

iOS, Android, web. Set tariff windows, schedule loads, get alerts when the grid drops. Share read-only access with your installer for remote diagnostics.

  • Forecast-aware charging

Lucid OS reads weather, tariffs, and your past consumption pattern. It charges SafeCell during cheap-and-sunny windows and dispatches during expensive ones — without you touching a slider.
